Action Center

FIOANH is a not-for-profit association.  Our mission focuses on improving firefighter safety through training and education.  While we are not a labor organization or IAFF affiliate, we would like to extend our gratitude to ProFirefighter.com and Unions-America.com for their support of our mission in hosting our website.

Training Programs

One of the primary missions of the Fire Instructors and Officers Association of New Hampshire is to provide training and professional development opportunities to local firefighters, fire officers, and fire instructors who may not otherwise have access to such training.

Course offerings and instructors are selected based on timeliness of content, to address trends in firefighter safety issues, demand for topics not otherwise offered locally, and topic requests or suggestions from the FIOANH membership.

The FIOANH understands and recognizes that many departments do not or can not afford to support local training initiatives, and that it is not unusual for local firefighters to seek out training opportunities on their own time and pay for classes out of their own pockets.  As such, we strive to keep tuition costs as low as possible and offer a further tuition discount for FIOANH members.  The members discount for any given class usually exceeds the cost of one year's association dues.  Any "profit" incidentally gained from a program is used to offset costs and lower tuition for a future class.

If you would like to suggest or request a topic, program, or instructor, or if your department may be interested in cosponsoring a future program, please contact Vice President Chris Johnson at fioanhtraining@comcast.net.
